Sarah Siayap helps drive strategy at Neara, the digital-twin platform helping utilities and asset owners model, simulate, and future-proof the world's power grids. She works at the intersection of technology and infrastructure, translating engineering capability into commercial strategy that accelerates the energy transition. Before Neara, Sarah spent time at a large global bank, helping fund companies focused on innovative technology.
Harry van der Weijde is Head of Research and Market Development at Open Energy Transition, where he leads applied research and partnership development to advance open-source digital solutions for energy planning. He holds a PhD in Spatial Economics and held academic positions at the University of Edinburgh, University of Cambridge, and University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, specialising in energy system modelling, power markets, and long-term infrastructure planning. Before joining OET, he held a research leadership role at TNO, bridging research and public policy. Harry currently leads OET's work on the ISIE Consortium, an initiative focused on standardising and integrating energy system models to improve transparency, interoperability, and evidence-based decision-making for the energy transition. Harry helped secure Horizon Europe funding for the AVANGUARD project and works closely with grid operators, and philanthropic organisations to advance open energy modelling, including the development and application of PyPSA, and teaches at international energy modelling summer schools.
Lovisa Urheim is Head of Strategic Initiatives at Plexigrid, a grid-tech company developing software to help electricity distribution grids operate more efficiently and accommodate the accelerating energy transition. Her work spans strategic initiatives, investor relations, and regulatory affairs, with a focus on scaling innovative grid technologies and navigating Europe’s evolving energy landscape.
